I always fish a local lake in Council Bluffs, IA that is REALLY muddy i mean 6in. of visibility at it’s best. I have had most of my luck in the spring fishing the shallows with a colorado spinnerbait but it has only caught me 7 bass. So if you think you can beat that try fishing here

ok guys...let me hear from you about high pressue....not the knd of pressure you get from not having a fish in the boat and you’re an hour from weigh-in, but the barometric kind of pressure.

had one slap at a topwater lure last saturday morning....and nothing else.... blue bird skies, water temp right around 70 degrees...not enough wind to make a difference...air temp was around 50 and warmed up to upper 70’s. threw every color of lipless cranks i got in the box....while my son tossed the plastic worms and creature baits....

is this a good case of largemouth lockjaw??

Fished Lake Minnetonka today....right in the heart of suburban Minneapolis. Conditions started cold with temps around 41 or so but warmed nicely to around 60.
Around 1pm I boated a nice 44” muskie. Most interesting thing was the weight. Did not actually weigh her but she was absolutely massive. Must have been piggin’ out on twinkies for the last couple years. She went airborn once and was released in perfect shape. Caught her on a hazard buoy line in about 4 feet of water. Yep.....4 feet. Muskies have a rep for being deep this time of year but I have seen things change a bit lately. Many have been shallow. ‘

No matter how many you catch.....the jitters and shakes start right after release. Adrenaline release. It never fails. Also the high fives go on for 10 minutes.

What a blast !

being stuck to shore for the fall bass fishing season, i am having a hard time producing fish. in the summer i did great because the pond i fish was covered with algae and weeds with some stumps on one side. i could through the frog all day and get some great fish, now all the weeds are dying and i cant get anything with the frog. what should i be doing at a time like this? i cant see any bait fish from shore. will the bass usually stay in open water now or do you think i could still produce some from the stumps? should i cover water as fast as i can with a lipless or a spinnerbait?
