Who needs ice

The walleye/sauger and bass are going absolutely crazy right now… fished for 2 hours and caught 42 saugers. I hope we dont get any ice so I can keep fishing open water! Need to try out that new reel from twitch. Highs of 50’s this weekend should allow time for that lol

I have still been getting fish with the rattle traps and chatterbaits and what not, just not as much. The chatter bait seems to work a bit better with the colder temps. I know that worms and finesse baits are good for colder temps but I’ve never used them much, especially the finesse worms, I don’t think I’ve ever used one of them. Any tips for these fall and soon to be winter temperatures??

so hopefuly i get out this weekend to chase some eye’s and pike around a small lake….i was wondering where I should look for them. do they move up shallow to feed in the fall? or do they go deep?

Heather and I will be heading out tomorrow morning for our last extended fishing trip of the year. We’re heading to Stephen Forbes Lake just outside of Salem, Illinois for what we are hoping will be some hot crappie action. We hit this lake about this time last year and tore them up.

I’m a little concerned with the weather. The sun is suppose to come back out and the temps should be very comfortable (low-mid 70s) but the wind is going to be howling. Tomorrow 15 - 25 mph and Saturday 12 mph. My little boat is extremely hard to control in the wind.

I’ll have to figure out how to add a date on my camera for the Fall tourney since BBK hasn’t added the fall sheet yet -

Whats up guys sorry I haven’t been on here in a while been pretty busy! Were out here in Texas still building this Power Plant.. or Boiler.. And things get tense so he had to buck up and more hours, been working 7 days a week 11 hours and got about another month or so of 7-11s.. Haven’t even been able to hit the water at all, days are getting a little shorter now.. So no time in the evenings and the 7 days a week has my energy on the low side by the time I get off now ha.. Was just gonna jump on here and see how everyones fishing is going! Hope all is well and hope to get back on here a little more often soon! It’s starting to cool off, as much as I love fishing.. I HAD to break the Ol PSE out and sling a few arrows.. Soon as that cold snap hit… When I rose from the bed I heard the PSE screaming for me from the closet.. She’s still tuned like a champ! Ha… Have a good day tomorrow everyone..
