Who you got & who you rooting for?

Seahawks fan, so I’m obviously rooting for them, even moreso so they can end the RGIII hype train for the year, but I’m nervous about that game. The Hawks aren’t near as good on the road, but people acting like they’re road kill haven’t watched them much, as they didn’t lose a single game by more than a TD & had a TD dropped in the end zone in the last 2 minutes against the Cards in their loss to them. I’m actively rooting against the Pack & Donkeys, don’t want to see or listen to more Manning/Brady jock riding than I absolutely have to.

My boy started football

It’s my boy’s first year playing football in 5/6th grade. There’s 60 kids playing in the DeWitt district so they split them up into three teams. My son got the High School football coach that’s helping as his coach and he’s pretty excited. My son is pretty stocky kid and has been playing tackle and end positions. It’s so cool to watch them line up before a play. There’s a lot of camaraderie with their front five. As a dad I watch every single play, but I keep my comments to myself. I don’t want to pressure him and I want him to have fun. His arms look like an old banana with scrapes and bruises.

Fantasy Football

Hey guys, getting close to fantasy football time again. I know some of you guys play it, and if not you should start! Its fun and you really do not need to know much about football (or anything) to play.

I had an idea and figured I’d post it and see what you guys think. I’m not really that famaliar with hosting and setting up leagues, so maybe if we do this someone can go ahead and take care of that.

My idea was to set up a league here, a fun league with a little twist. I was thinking the buy-in could be at least 1 (one) fishing related item, then the winner takes all. This could be a hardbait, a pack of lures, a tee-shirt, hat… whatever you want it to be! There is no minimum requirements (other than you have to send at least 1 item) and you dont have to make the item yourself. Its just a fun league, nobody will know who sent what (everybody would send the item(s) to one person who would ship the package to the winner).

Just an idea I was tossing around, what do you guys think?
