The mold I’m looking at calls for an Eagle claw 235 or 255 hook, anyone know the Mustad number for that?

Walleye Jig Heads tag:kevinvandam.com,2013:forums/viewthread/.11337 2013-04-01T18:25:28Z 0 Kevin22 Just thought I’d show a couple pictures of my new walleye jigs. I’ve had them up for a while but never got around to posting them here. The wire keeper is what makes the jig.

I have them from 1/16 to 1/2, the ones pictured are 1/8 which I use the most.

Lure painting: Splatterback vs that other way tag:kevinvandam.com,2013:forums/viewthread/.11192 2013-03-06T05:04:31Z 2013-03-06T16:43:12Z TorqueConverter VS mesh netting so as to have a scaled appearance, whatever that’s called.

I’m bat-poop crazy for cranks I’ve been buying them in lots off ebay for cheap and I don’t have the luxury of getting the crank I want in the color I want.

I’m an easy man to please.  I like real simple color patterns such as a chartreuse/gold side with some back color.  I don’t own an airbrush but have figured out how to do a pretty darn good splatter back effect.

So what are the advantages/disadvantages to the different back painting styles?  Do fish feed selectively based on whether the paint is splattered on or applied with a stencil?  I can’t imagine they do.

Attached images because I’m either retarded or links/images are broken

EDIT: can’t even do that.

In-line BuzzBait tag:kevinvandam.com,2013:forums/viewthread/.11132 2013-02-22T22:54:44Z 0 Kevin22 Was messing around a while back making some small whitebass lures when this popped into my mind. Figured it would help with open water misses. Sporting a super freakin sharp #4 treble hook that has already proven itself to be very sharp.

Painting jig heads tag:kevinvandam.com,2013:forums/viewthread/.11105 2013-02-07T01:00:38Z 0 AllStar I’ve been powder coating my jigheads and thats fine and all, but has anyone used a different technique? I was thinking airbrush but I live in an apartment and I dont think that would be a very good idea…The reason why I want to try something else is because I want to be able to do multicolors and add different designs and such. Any tips?

New Baits on the market tag:kevinvandam.com,2013:forums/viewthread/.11062 2013-01-16T13:14:33Z 0 USMCGeoff I know most of you have your favorite baits and sponsors and most of you make your own but I met a guy who just started pouring his own because what he wanted wasn’t on the market.  He gave me some sample packs he wanted tested.  I opened one up to check them out and I am a pretty hard guy to impress but I was pleasantly pleased.  In my garage I wacky hooked a 4” worm directly into the worm about 10 times w/o the worm breaking, I stretched it and it took allot to break it.  And to beat all, the rubber is very soft.  The craws (and I am a SK Rage Craw fan) holds better on the hook and doesn’t tear like the SK Rage not to mention the claws are much larger yet also float up.  I told him that I have a bunch of guys who would give them the ultimate test them for him if he wanted and he said go ahead.  The problem is that I don’t know how to get them to you.  I suppose anyone who would like to test for him could PM me your address and I’ll have him send you each a packet.
