Bio

I have been “hooked” on fishing since I was 5 years old. Been a non-boater for much of my lifetime and recently started fishing club tournaments in my local B.A.S.S. Chapter (Georgian Bay Bass Masters). We have some good contenders here in our club and a lot of knowledge especially of small mouth bass fishing here in Ontario. Other famous surrounding lakes within a hour of my location are Lake Couchaching, Lake Simcoe, and Lake Muskoka. Our club president owns and operates the bait and tackle store in our tourist town of 17,000, which comes in handy for all our needs as anglers.

My preferred cover for smallies is rock ledges and boulder fields, as for bucket mouths, a love top water in pad fields and pitchin’ in the cane/slop.

I have mostly been a SHIMANO guy for rods my whole life, my current rods are all CRUCIAL’s, and the majority of my spinning reels are Shimano STRADIC 2500’s (for the price point, warranty, and 6.0.1 ratio). As for my bait casters, I use OKUMA VS200LX (lefty) for jerk baits and buzz baits, Diawa Viento’s for spinner baits ( a la KVD “advanced spinner baits tactics” video) and am waiting to get into CURADO DSHV200’s for my flippin’ and frog rods.

My short term goal is to attain a Triton X-boat of any size 18 feet and up within the next year.

Current favorite baits and tackle are:

Yamamoto Senkos
SPRO Frogs
Picasso Spinner Baits
Picasso Buzz Baits
Yamamoto Creatures & Craws
Phoenix Tubes
Gamakatsu Hooks
Tru-Tungsten Jig Heads
Lucky Craft Stick Baits
Power Pro and Trilene Fishing Line
Picasso & Strike King KVD Pitchin’/Swimming Jigs
Owner Drop Shot & Stand Out Hooks
