Went to one of the Sports Authority stores in St. Louis today. They had Yamamoto Senko’s 4 inch in black for $.97 a package. I usually throw 5 inch and black isn’t my favorite color, but at less than a dollar a pack I couldn’t pass them up - I bought all they had (3 packs).

GREAT Item

This post is for tackle reviews, but this is a tool I use all the time on my boat. I am not big on gimmicky stuff, so when Rapala sent me one of these (free) when I bought my Ranger, I was skeptical. I did however install it one day, and thought I’d see how it worked. I figured I could remove it if it was (as I figured it would be) just another thing littering up my boat.

Was I wrong !! This little item is terrific. I would encourage every boater to add this to their rig. When I have guests on my boat (often) they always rave about this thing. They generally end up buying their own within days of being on my rig.
The holder mounts with 3M adhesive to your boat....and does it stick. Mine has not come close to coming loose since I put it on 2 yrs ago. The holder is magnetic, so the tools which are metal, and high quality) never get thrown from the holder..... even in rough water !

At 30 bucks, it is a great value and really useful item. Once in a while a really useful thing comes along that is CHEAP ! I love it.

I have a tourney on Saturday and I was told we will be fishing with little johns I don’t have any but will purchase some tomorrow. Can someone please give me some how-to videosarticles and your 2 cents on using this bait. I know I will be able to fish it but I am hoping I can get some advice before I go out. Every bit helps so don’t hold anything back.

I know Northland doesn’t specialize in bass gear, but I love their Jungle Jigs. I aslo stocked up on their replacement skirts. I think they are an underrated company. Just wondering how many of you guys use anything Northland. I’m assuming you walleye guys use them quite a bit, and panfish jigs too. They get overshadowed by the BooYahs and other jig companies.

Tournament setup

hey just need some feedback on this setup based on a lake ill be fishing in an upcoming tournament..

I’ve got rods for

1) Spinnerbait (firetiger/white, 3/8 ounce kvd)
2)Topwater (rapala skitter pop , heddon torpedo)
3) Senko (bubblegum)
4) Jig (3/8 ounce, green pumpkin, gpumpkin trailer)
5) Red eye shad (sexy shad, 3/8 ounce)
6) Stickbait (rapala x-10 , perch color)

7) Beaver bait 3/8 ounce bullet sinker

The last one is separated because its replaceable, havent used it much… its a canadian lake, most of it is 5-7 feet deep with a few rock shoals and isolated milfoil beds in the middle of the lake.. it branches off into another lake which is filled mostly with pads and logs, a few shores with overhanging trees…

Main question would be where and how to fish the red eye shad and stickbait in this lake.... and a possible replacement for the beaver… preferably something to flip/pitch..

And also to ensure that all of the cover i listed is suitable for a jig and senko to be thrown in… and if the weights/rigs are correct..

thanks a bunch guys…

What Ever happened to Snapback Baits ?

A couple years ago there were baits made called Snapback. They were made of some strange plastic that floated very nicely and was almost indestructable. It did have some issues though I know....like baits sticking together in the bag.
They floated nicely though and would be great for today’s shaky head craze.
Anyone seen these things ? I know I still have a few. I liked the craws as they gave a nice look on a jighead. The pichers stood up nice in the water. Smallies loved ‘em.
