I pour mainly with mustad ultra points which are fine, but these amberdine wires are a no no. I hope some of you guys can point me in the right direction. I need to pour a ton of these and I dont want to break the bank or use garbage gauge hooks
2012-02-02T23:30:29-05:00 Local gun shop cut me off!!!! http://www.kevinvandam.com/forums/viewthread/8295/ http://www.kevinvandam.com/forums/viewthread/8295/#When:13:03:15Z
I used to get my lead at a local gunshop so I can pour my jigs, I never abused it and purchased alot, maybe some here and there, and the price wasn’t too bad. but I called today to see if I can stop by and pick more up. They said they no longer “sell” it. They never sold it before, but when I would ask they would be more than willing to give me 1 or 2 ingots of it. Now they are stating that I need to buy a 25 pound of lead shot for 50 bucks, that’s my only option. I don’t understand why becasue when I go there they have pallets and pallets of lead. Not sure what to do or where I can possible go to get my lead? any ideas please!!!!!
2012-01-27T13:03:15-05:00 Skirted Grub http://www.kevinvandam.com/forums/viewthread/8256/ http://www.kevinvandam.com/forums/viewthread/8256/#When:16:48:11Z
Just killing some time today using up some left overs from AndyO’s pour. I mean they have a giant bucket of them and they toss them out when it gets full, instead of spending money on lead can I just use the scraps that I can get for free? Should I clean the lead off or when I melt it down all the crap should come to the top so I can scoop out???
2010-06-14T00:39:07-05:00 modify molds http://www.kevinvandam.com/forums/viewthread/6912/ http://www.kevinvandam.com/forums/viewthread/6912/#When:08:43:23Z
I was wondering if any one was modify there do-it molds? The top pic is of the beaver. The bottom pic is of a senko that has no salt. I made it with no salt because the action it has with no salt is phenomenal. I plan on fishing it on a light shakey head. They are both different versions of watermelon red flake

http://s721.photobucket.com/albums/ww219/LilJakeC/?action=view&current=beaver.jpg
http://s721.photobucket.com/albums/ww219/LilJakeC/?action=view&current=beaver.jpg#oZZ2QQcurrentZZhttp://s721.photobucket.com/albums/ww219/LilJakeC/?action=view&current=senko.jpg

There will be more pics to come in the next few days when I am at my moms and am able to get some pics of the baits I made last weekend
2011-10-09T15:14:55-05:00
