To find fish on a channel ledge, how do you fish it?Do you fish parallel with the ledge, or do you through into the flat and pull to the ledge and let the bait drop off?The ledges here have grass on them from a foot off the top to right on top.

On most ledges I would try to position my boat in the channel and cast up on the ledge and just retrieve the bait back. On a ledge that is has grass like you mentioned, I would fish parallel or I would try to cast into the grass and rip my bait out.
