I have an ‘82 Champion “mean 15”.  It is 15’8” with a mercury black max 150.  I love it.  Small, agile, and it flat out screams.  Not to mention I only paid $2500 for it!

I have a 1987 ebbtide dynatrak w/90 johnson. Its a great boat 16’ but i built the whole front deck up to the console. That makes a big difference when fighting fish. It’s really a great riding boat, pretty smooth.

Have no boat, but i might save up my money to got a inflatable boat that only holds 2 people… I’m a kid, what can i say? I did have the chance of being able to see a Champion at a boat show… I still dream about those boats…

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there’d be a shortage of fishing poles.

I have a 07 Triton TR-20X with a 225 Merc. Love the boat. No complaints yet. I also have a 16ft Lowe jon boat rigged up with a 70lb/thrust minnKota and a large casting deck. That thing is irreplaceable. It goes where the Triton cant. Lastly, I have a 8ft plastic pond raider. It goes where the Lowe cant. You gotta be prepared for what the situation calls for.

ncbelly..........If you buy one, you will love that Tracker Pro 17. It’s the boat I used to rent when I would take my son fishing back in the 1990’s.  Dollar for dollar I think it’s the best value out there in an aluminum boat. Lunds are great, but pricey. For a starter or mid level boat it cannot be beat. Just be careful on bigger water as bass boats are inherently bad rides in big waves. Aluminum because it’s so light compounds the problem. But if you buy a Tracker Pro17 you’ll be very happy.

I now fish from my 3rd Ranger (a 2008 620vs) but I’ll never forget that Tracker that really got me hooked on fishing. If you want to try before you buy.....head down to Table Rock lake to Big Cedar Lodge. They rent new Tracker Pro17’s. It’s where I rented mine years ago.

Good luck.

We had a 2005 Tracker PT175 and it was a great boat.  Sold it a couple of months ago, and we now have an ‘08 Lowe Roughneck 1652VT.  No main motor on it as we now just fish electric-only local waters.  The Roughneck series are some pretty durable boats!  grin

1996 Ranger charokee 207. 17’ long with a 2001 115 merc 4 stroke on it. Tops out at 52. Thats fast for a deep-V. Has duel live well, lots of storage. Got it used for 8,000. Says the origanal price for it in 1996 was 21,000. So im proud of it.
