I just heard a story on ultimate bass radio podcast that when he and his girlfriend and two girls were vacationing in Florida a young man that was on the Make a Wish Foundations list wished to fish with Ike for the day and when Ike got the call he dropped everything and drove an hour to pick up the young man and spend the day with him.  I took time away from himself and his family to grant this kids wish that gained a lot of respent from me.

It seems a lot of people give reps to the pros when they act crazy on tv but whether its acting for notoriety, fame, or to ruffle feathers they all seem to care about the underdogs like us.  The more i learn about each angler even the crazy ones the less I critisize they’re tv charactors, I am undicided about charlie moore, So far its a like\hate situation.

i watched the weigh in and also read a story about that, i have always respected Ike the man, I respect Ike the fisherman, and at the weigh in i seen Ike the real deal....thats why i always talk about how he acts after a fish, he has so many good things to have himself lowered.

Ike is a good person, i have read more than 1 story on him and if didnt act silly woulda made my top 5 favs

*L* @ Top10.  I think that is the nicest overall way I have seen Top 10 word his review of Ike.  I won’t turn this into another “Ike debate”, but I think Ike is great!  Great angler, Great representative of fishing, and an overall Great person.  I gained a ton more respect for him after reading his book.  I can’t wait to meet him at the River Rumble in June!

Its probably cause my communication skills arent the best in the world, lol. I know in the other post i made it sound as if i dont like him at all, and nothing is farther than the truth. I like the man, i just see a controlable flaw ). If it sounded like i am against him im sorry 4 that, i didnt mean disrespect to him, and especially to anyone who admires him, i would love to see him do well and win the same as anyone else. Maybe cause im older and from another generation that i dont like the antics, but i will say the other things he does outside fishing should be respected.
