See that forecast for next week? Highs in the 40’s and sunny skies. The lake i fish lost 2-3 inches of ice from Sat to last night. Got about a week of fishing left. These temp in the low teens at night are not going to help at this stage, there is just too much daylight right now. And just a reminder guys, we move the clocks ahead Sat night.

I went on a ride yesterday, to look at all the flooding here. Not much damage, thankfully, but it is doing a number on the ice that is left on the lakes. WOOHOOO..!! I can almost taste it. Spring is coming!!!!!!!! tongue laugh

You know I live about a 1/2 mile from the Illinois River and its high. It just dropped below flood stage, remarkably. The ground must have been really dry for a long time to take up all the snow we had this winter. I drove 15 miles north last night and there was snow cover everywhere.. Wierd

Is this weather is the midwest going to keep up? Holy S***!!! I am tired of it. Last year at this time we had thermoclines that already formed up. This year we are lucky to have water in the low 60’s. Its unreal!. Heck its been in the mid 40’s here at night. This is late May right?
