Sounds like a solid set-up. Hopefully you hook into something big enough to give it a good work out!

Kinda wish I had a better rod, but after the line and reel I ran out of money. if it breaks in 2 then it breaks in 2. i’ll hand land them after that, lol.

Don’t need anything special for froggin. Only thing you might regret is the weight, but you will get used to it.

Maybe save some pennies and hit up tackle warehouse’s labor day sale coming up. Usually 1 day only 15% off. They have some real nice rods on sale right now, and if they are still on sale and will qualify for the 15% it would be a deal of a lifetime. Some are upwards of 50% off because they are discontinued or last years model.

thanks, I think my next tackle orders are going to be for surfing rods and reels. this is my last orders for bass rods and reels, got to start switching over. i’ll ship my best rods and reels and sell the rest or give them away. same with all the baits I have. keep what will work in saltwater and 86 the rest. I got 6, 60 gallon tubs of baits of all kinds and i’m not going to ship all that. cost me more t ship than the baits are worth.

Update:

The rod I bought was a 7’6” Daiwa Aird, H, I could have swore I bought the B Shock. they both look about the same. After reading the reviews of each, I think I accidently chose the better rod. Stupid me, lucky me.
