I have a new Chronarch150 CI+ on the way. A friend has been fishing one for a couple of months. He really likes it. Since he tends to exaggerate I will wait until I try mine and then will post a report. If anybody has used one please respond.

I just bought one from a friend who fell on hard times. It was still new in the box. I only bought it to help him out. I have only used quantums and didn’t think I’d like it but I do. I told my friend I’d sell it back to him when he got back on his feet but I’m having second thoughts. lol it’s really nice BH

I’d like to hear how you like it. I’ve been buying up older Curado E’s lately.

I received the new reel today. I spooled it up with 16lb Sunline, tied on a a Skinny Dipper and after getting adjusted made some casts in the yard. My initial impression was very favorable. Unfortunately there was no wind today so I couldn’t try into the wind casts. I would guess my casts were 5 yards further than the same setup with a Curado E. The new braking system is really neat as you can make fine adjustments. I do not like magnetic brakes. It won’t be long before our annual trips to Lake Seminole begin. I have several makes of reels I fish with but Shimanos are my favorites.

I now have used the reel on 6 fishing days. I put it on a 7ft Kistler magnesium composite/glass rod. This is the rod I throw rattle traps and skinny dippers on. So far it has been outstanding.Cast very well, even into the wind.

Looks like a nice reel.  Never owned a Shimano baitcaster but have used my brothers Citica and Curado (still like my Quantums more grin ).

I have recently bought an Okuma Kurado and I really like that - may get a few more.
