Went out to a little local pond for a couple hours today.  I ended up catching four bass - one wasn’t even as long as the 7.5” worm I caught it on; but here are the other three.  #2 and #3 came on consecutive casts on a 3” worm rigged on my shaky-head set-up.  #1 was caught on a 7.5” Yum Ribbontail worm in Red Shad w/green flecks; a 4/0 Gammy worm hook, and 1/4oz Yum Lead Free worm weight.

I went out with a buddy all day today and got not even one bite. Bad weather day. Post cold front condition. I even tried a nightcrawler on a slip bobber and that did not even work. I did manage to see the biggest bass of my life today. Had to be close to 10. Huge for northern Illinois. I have a 6 on the wall and that was nothing compared to this one. It cruised by 3 times and me and my buddy threw everything at it with no success. I left that lake and fished another tonight and had no luck there either. Did manage to have a couple of Bud Lights though… LOL

Sunday I spent the day on the water with my wife caught a few nice fish pitching to boat docks my mainly small fish the bigger fish I think have moved off to recuperate from spawning.  Give it couple of more weeks and they should be easier to find and catch.
