A few years back I enjoyed watching a guy that seemed to be in the tournament spot light. So far this year Ive yet to see him any where. I beleive this cat wrote a book a few years ago. Normaly this could be tough but this guy has one thing that probably makes him stand out alone. He has several bass tattoos. Can anyone remind me of his name and/or tell me if he’s still fishing competitively.

Acts 10:11-13....He saw the sky open, and something like a large sheet was let down by its four corners. In the sheet were all sorts of animals, reptiles, and birds. Then a voice said to him, “Get up, Peter; kill and eat them.”

Im guessing that would be Mike Iaconelli i would believe. If that is the guy, yes he is fishing competitively.  Assuming you read his book and how he was going to quit after the 2003 classic, he has done fairly well in the past few years.  Currently he is sitting in 7th place going into the last day of the Tennessee Triumph at Old Hickory in Hendersonville, Tenn.  Mike was the 2006 Angler Of the Year.  His significant wins recently have been the 2006 BASS Southern Challenge, 2005 Winner FLW Chevy Open.  He has 5 career BASS victories, 5 second place finishes and 55 top 20s (56) after today.  Hope this helps and this is the only guy i can think of with a recent book and with bass tats that was in the spotlight so heavily a few years ago.
