very true it does make your mouth very dry but thats where the gatorade and water comes in handy…. also i usually just spit the seeds in a bucket or bottle or spit them overboard
I take lots of water. I freeze a bottle or two the night before and keep it on the deck with me. Throughout the day it melts but remains cold. For food I take a sandwich, block of cheese, and a bag of trail mix. I try to stay away from high carbonation drinks and sugar while out on the boat. Proteins and fiber fill you up and keep you full longer. On the drive back home I will have a diet pepsi or something.
Beans and franks, and water…If I’m kinda far from home I like to take a grill with me…small grill that you stand on the seat mantle in my boat..and grill up some hot dogs, and hamburgurs, I remember last time I grilled I was at a state park and I was going to check the grill and I tripped and burnt my hand, Good thing I had ice beside me, anyway 2 weeks passed and the burn went away, and peeled off, now my hand is normal…Thank you Lord it wasn’t permanent.
TTP must be in the nutritional know….Proteins and carbs are the way to go…along with water, and some gatorade/powerade. I stay away from simple sugars myself, which means no pop or soda. Slim jims are a favorite of mine also. I will actually take chicken or beef with me, precooked of course, along with potatoes and vegetables….. but I’m kinda weird about eating anyway. I also like some good snack mix, like chex mix…homemade though.
I always load the cooler on my oat with ice and drinks…..but strangely I always come home without touching them. I don’t know why.
I forget I put them there when I start fishing. My garage is full of water bottles each summer. I have to take them out of the boat after each trip. It makes me nuts.
4 bottled waters, apple, peanut butter crackers, seeds and a fresh italian hoagie from the local convienient. the seeds have become problematic, they pelt me in face once I get off plane.1
