I had Cingular(AT&T;) and got rid of it. The g/f was talking up a storm, plus I live 2 miles from a tower in a brick home, and had to go outside for better reception. I have a home phone now though the cable company(Comcast). Phone, internet and tv for like $170 a month. Plus its nice not having a cell phone, the girlfriend cant bother me when I fish...he he.
i think a lot of reception problems are the phone itself, i know there are dead area sometimes, but my last phone was hard to hear or make calls from certain rooms in the house, and on water was almost imposs.....with new phone and same service thats all cleared up.
i have a Samsung SGH-c417 and it works well, i had a different samsung that didnt work well......1 different is mine has a lil 3/4 antanna on it, maybe what helps
I have T-Mobile and cant really complain to much. Got a good cell phone fustrastration story to share though. 3-5 years ago I had bought a pre-paid I had had a plan phone previous but as previously mentioned my ex-fiance wouldnt leave me alone so I turned it off and snuck out and bought the pre-paid. Main reason for this phone was that I was getting tired of being out hunting and decide to go some where else and the owner’s not home. Id have their cell phone # but no way to call. Well after I got this phone the problem didnt fix itself. After 3-4 trips with no signal and a day with the dog’s geared up to go only one rabbit so far plus I was tryin to sell one of these hounds to one of the guys with me for a nice chunk of change. I decided to try to try my cousins place. No signal, so I calmly sat the phone on a fallen limb walk back about 20 paces and gave that phone both barrels out of my 12 gauge side by side.
sounds like that one time i used my portable radio as a baseball and smashed it with a baseball bat because it wouldnt get the station in that i wanted… dont ask
Motorola and US Cellular has been a GREAT combo for me here in SW Iowa. Never have reception troubles. As a matter of fact, I’m good from here to Chicago. Phone works great at Wrigley Field and beyond. Oh, get reception on most lakes, too.
