I always wondered what happens to VanDam’s boats?  Do they go back to Nito, are they sold or does he keep them?  If anyone knows, let me know…..

It varies per angler. Some are forced to buy at a discounted rate. Some get one free and can sell for their own profit. Some get a free boat and have to give it back. Normally his boats can be bought the following year thru DNR Sports in KZOO, Michigan at the end of the season.

There is usually a contest every year a bass pro shops to win his boat.

I heard he sinks them out on the river ledges of Ky Lake and Guntersville. He then returns the next year and catches all his fish from them LOL

Last year or the year before one of KVD’s boats were up for sale here in Auburn Ny at a Nitro Dealer Bryce Marine I think.
It had a 250 Verado if I remember correctly or if it could put an actual timeline on it.
I also wanna say say had Clunns boat up for sale at the same time.

They have been giving away one of Van Dams boats each year at the classic. I am standing there with my fingers crossed for the drawing too. How sweet would that be to win his boat?

back before kvd was sponsored by nitro, he was using a champion that one of my freinds had bought from dnr.  that champion lost its transom 3 years ago up on muskegon lake.  the wood between the fiberglass layers rotted out.  good thng there was some competitors close by to save them and there gear.  They got lucky too, they were gonna take the trip from muskegon lake to White Lake via lake michigan but turned around when they left the piers and found 8ft rollers.

everyone above is wrong, Every year Chuck Norris is forced into throwing the boat to the moon, as a monument of who truly rules the planet. If even Chuck Norris refuses, the last he will he is a Strike King Red Eye Shad coming for his head at mach 9….just some fun insight haha (don’t take it too serious)
