I would actually catagorize my style of fishing and power finesse, I love finesse baits but fish them fast and cover lots of water my favorite baits are small finesse jigs 3/16 oz pb&j;with a smallie beaver as a jig trailer and shakey head worms. But I also like to throw lipless baits, jerkbiats topwaters and pitch bigger jig and pig combos.
I like fishing spinnerbaits, texas rigged worms and tubes, flippin jigs and berkley beasts, carolina rigs and frogs or sammys depending on the cover. Oh and of course the old standby, soft stick baits like the tiki stick.
Im kind of slow and methodical most of the time.I love to pitch beavers and jigs to heavy cover. The only time i really become a power fisherman is when i burn lipless cranks or coverin water with a frog.I can flip & pitch all day just to get those 5 bites and be happy with that. But i do have to say power fishin can be Fun, and theres knowone better than the man KVD!
I sorta depends on the time of year for me, but here goes…
Spring time: I start my mornings out with Traps...I like jerk shads too. Soft plastics: Wiggle Worms (senkos)
The rest of the year, Wiggle worms, Jigs, drop shots, and spinner baits. I’ve got boxes of cranks but I don’t give ‘em anough time in the water. I fish them frequently, but I’m typically changing baits too often, not giving them enough of a chance. Some lakes I fish, I strictly fish tubes. Some just spinnerbaits. Some days just the Wiggle Worms. It’s wierd here in Michigan somedays. That weather changes in a heartbeat!
