myself, i like to fish berkley powerworms 10’’, with a slow decend with a clear bead maybe a teqila shad color in clear water like scott martin, and sometimes in black river water spinners with rod tip up reel slow, fish love to nail it, but mainly out of the river ive found out of all the tackle ive used the bang-o-lure by bagley green churtruise, tiger ,jerkbait, with the tight wiggle and the middle sound rattle heats them up in the winter , catch more fish in the winter...10 pd line reel slow like its waiting for the fish to nail it..bass pro shops sales this bait for $8.00. but the price may have went up on them, seeing as how ive bought a large quantity in the past year. oh… yeah… black water.. 65 degrees or colder, partly cloudy...rod tip down.. be carefull too it brakes easywhen thrown to structure but its worth it..
