I can’t believe it. KVD is only 50k away from the 3million dollar mark! that’s crazy how he can go out and make a huge living on fishing alone. I saw this in BASS TIMES, hopefully he’ll come in top of the field next two tournaments and break the 3mill. mark. Thats got to be one heck of a fun job.

They make more on sponsors than winnings, its the new younger guys who have to rely on winnings most. Actually KVD is over 3 million, $2,972,458.30 in BASS and $ 370,950 in FLW, $3,343,408.30. That wouldnt be counting non series events.

Yeah, but the costs that are involved are outrageous.  I think to fish a full season on the Elites it costs about 100k.  That is why you better have some dam good sponsors.  If you watch closely throughout the season you will see guys come and go.  There are a few that can’t afford to fish a full season.  You either better have some great sponsors or be wealthy on your own, otherwise you won’t be able to make it through a season.

Still what a way to make a living getting to go all the best bass lakes from coast to coast, using the best equipment available.  Only thing wrong is time away from the family.  That can be hard and hopefully you don’t break the bank while your out there.

The first to the 3 mil. mark what an accomplishment he has changed the sport of bassfishing for years to come.

As much as I’ve dreamed about fishing against those guys, ya know, it probably would be tough.  Not just the fishing either.  I mean, all that driving, plus all that fishing.  Those guys fish every day I would think.  I know I get back pain after fishing a Friday night even, then a Saturday day event, followed by a Sunday event.  Heck, that’s only 3 days.  Don’t get me wrong, I’d love an opportunity like that but I don’t think my wife would really like me being gone that much.

Apparently Kevin just fished a local NBAA event a week or so ago.  He just showed up and fished it with his sons and brother Randy.  Now how cool would that be to have KVD show up at your local event?!  That would’ve been one of the greatest tournies ever.  Just to compete against a angler of his level.  I think he got 5th, imagine how those other 4 guys on top felt that day on the ride home from the lake.  What a story to tell the wife...lol, mine probably wouldn’t believe that story.  She’d say, “yeah whatever, just another fishtale”!  LOL
