Layered Bean Dip
Mix three cans of bean dip together with two tsps of grounded cumin, one tsp of salt, one tsp of cayenne pepper.
Spread on a pie dish (shallow dish with sides)
Top with salsa and sour cream.
Then the following: diced onions, black olives, jalapenos and shredded cheddar cheese.
Serve with Guacamole on the side with Corn chips.
This can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the icebox or cooler (if in a tight container, not just foil or plastic wrap).
Mexican Black Bean Dip
1 can of black beans, smashed
1/3 stick of butter
1 tsp onion salt
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/3 cup tomato paste
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp Worestershire sauce
2 tbsp finely chopped cilantro
Mix ingredients. Serve warm with tortilla chips
Hamburger Bean Dip
1 can 16 oz. refried beans
1 lb of cooked grounded beef
1 onion, diced
1 can (4 oz) diced green chilies
Sliced black olives
10 oz shredded cheddar cheese
1 can mild taco sauce
Line a 9 x 13 - inch pie dish with refried beans. Spread beef with half the onions.
Layer chilies, olives and cheese. Drizzle taco sauce over the layers. Bake at 350 degree for 20 to 30 minutes. Garnish with black olives.
Shrimp Con Queso
1 stick of butter
1 cup green onions, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1 cup green bell pepper, chopped
1 can Rotel diced tomatoes with chilies
1 can cream of celery soup
8 oz. Velveeta
2 lbs shrimp cooked and peeled.
Serve with crackers or chips or with rice as a main dish.
