This recipe of mine is always a hit at the opening weekend football Bar-B-Q at my shop. If you don’t like HOT salsa, leave out the hot peppers at the bottom and the ladies (or you) will still find it delicious:
6 Tomatoes (lightly chopped to a chunky texture)
1 Green Pepper (chopped)
1 Red Pepper (chopped)
1 Yellow Pepper (chopped)
1 White onion (chopped)
1 Red Onion (chopped)
1 hand full of Green onions (chopped)
Cilantro to taste (I used about 18 grams)
3 Limes (juice only)
2 Peaches (chopped)
25 Strawberries (chopped)
3 cloves of garlic (pressed)
1 T salt
1/2 T Pepper
2 tsp of sugar
Skip this part if you don’t want it HOT:
4 Cayene peppers
3 Caribbean Red Hot Peppers (you can substitute Haberneros)
1 TBL of Olive Oil
blend up these hot peppers into a paste and mix it into the bowl
- I like to let this sit covered in the fridge over night to let the sweetness come out in this salsa. Trust me on this, you won’t be disappointed in this salsa, it’s a hit everytime I make it. Aside from the fruit and garlic, everything came right out of my garden!
