Well, since Ky Lake isnt on there, i would have to say Guntersville. I got to fish it 1 time and seen my boater put his first 4 fish totaling almost 20 lbs in the boat in less than 15 minutes after starting. I also seen 24 lbs win asa co-boater with 27 - 32 lbs for 5 fish winning as a pro. Thats a good lake.
I too chose Lake of the Woods for the incredible diversity and superb quality of the fishery. Not to mention spectacular scenery matched no place else on that list.
You can catch trophies (and I mean REAL trophies) in SM Bass, Northern Pike, Muskie, Crappie, and Walleye. That is 5 separate species of trophy gamefish. It is fishing unmatched anywhere in North America....my opinion. (I have even caught a 5 pound LM bass there.....but not too many.)
Rainy Lake is a close second for me but not too many Muskie there.
I would also have to choose guntersville.Never been there, but i have friends who go there everyear and put the hurt on ‘em.Plus there are TONS of grass mats, and thats my favorite type of cover to fish. It seems to produce big sacks everyear.
I choose Lake Fork becauase of the great fishing there. And I love the fact that you are chasing 8 and 9 lbers everywhere! It just wouldnt get old hooking into mosters all the time. I do like Lake of The Woods for its diversity.
I choose Table Rock it is just beautiful plus the fishing is great while they may not have as big of fish they have a ton of em plus with a bass pro in branson and the headquaters in springfield how can you go wrong
For me its Lake Erie great smallmouth action plus some great untapped largemouth fishing too. Then throw in some great eating fish like walleye, perch, crappie and gills. And you have some big hard fighting fish like musky, pike, steelhead and some salmon. It is truly a great lake as well as being a Great Lake.
I choose fork cause its 30 miles from home!! I dont fish all the tournies like you guys do so I dont have a clue where or what the other lakes have to offer. But my all time favorite lake is hawkins, small lake, not alot of traffic, alot of big fish (caught 5 big fish last year and 3 was double digit) and its alot closer to home than fork lol
I love fishing Guntersville. Its 7 hours away but I still manage to make it down there a few times a year. As soon as my girlfriend finishes college we are going to start looking for some property in that area. That will put me in the middle of the TVA lakes.
also lake Amistad or Lake elsalto would be my dream fishing locations. cant forget Clear lake in CA either along with The delta or ocechobee in FL or however its spelled
even though i love smallmouth i’d have to say Guntersville. this is one tough lake to master year around with the heavy weed cover especially for a power fishermen like myself. since i fish as a coangler on the bws my limit is 3 and ive gotten limits in 14 to 20 lbs
never fished them really never fished outside of s.c. i can remember that lake cchamplain win this year though FLW tour..remember to myself, Jimmy Houston said it best..I went down to lake murry and in one day caught over 100 fish, useing the same lure that won boyde duchett the bassmasters tourney.. the lipless crankbait..
