The one I use:

1 large onion
6 roma tomatoes
5 jalapenos (not pickled)
1 can (6 oz) tomato sauce
Juice of 1 lime
12-15 stems of fresh cliantro
1 tsp minced garlic

Process together in food processor. Chill and serve with tortilla chips.

Do you have any additional ingredients?

Try tomato paste instead of sauce.

Here’s mine, though I posted it in an earlier post.  This salsa is THE BOMB!!!  hot to trot my friend…

This recipe of mine is always a hit at the opening weekend football Bar-B-Q at my shop.  If you don’t like HOT salsa, leave out the hot peppers at the bottom and the ladies (or you) will still find it delicious:

6 Tomatoes (lightly chopped to a chunky texture)
1 Green Pepper (chopped)
1 Red Pepper (chopped)
1 Yellow Pepper (chopped)
1 White onion (chopped)
1 Red Onion (chopped)
1 hand full of Green onions (chopped)
Cilantro to taste (I used about 18 grams)
3 Limes (juice only)
2 Peaches (chopped)
25 Strawberries (chopped)
3 cloves of garlic (pressed)
1 T salt
1/2 T Pepper
2 tsp of sugar

Add this part if you want it HOT: (leave out if you just want a mild salsa)
4 Cayene peppers
3 Caribbean Red Hot Peppers (you can substitute Haberneros)
1 TBL of Olive Oil
blend up these hot peppers into a paste and mix it into the salsa already made in the other bowl

- I like to let this sit covered in the fridge over night to let the sweetness come out in this salsa.  Trust me on this, you won’t be disappointed in this salsa, it’s a hit everytime I make it.  Aside from the fruit and garlic, everything came right out of my garden!

Enjoy!!!

haha, funny story about that. we had a wood pecker problem a few years back at our cabin so we got some dried jabanero peppers. well one day my aunt and uncle were over. my dad dared my aunt to eat a boxelder bug for $10. she reached for it, and ate it then and there. well my dad wanted his $$$ back so he said if he ate one of the peppers that she would give him his $$$ back. she agreed. so my dad goes to eat one, and takes a bite…........ his eyes start watering. not a little…ALOT. and hes trying to put the fire out at the same time. everyone’s laughing at him, and he’s over at the sink downing a gallon of milk. he never did get his $$$ back either. lol LOL

Somebody just back of you while you are fishing is as bad as someone looking over your shoulder while you write a letter to your girl.

This is mainly what the jars in the basement are for:

1 pint of mom’s stewed tamatoes
Chop 1/2 onion and two fresh jalapenos-blend w/ electric blender
2 tblspns of ground cumin
1tblspn of chopped cilantro
1 teaspoon of chili powder
add salt to taste (i’ve fooled around w/ a little dill juice, but it’s better in Bloody Mary’s)
add ceyenne pepper
blend well
add 1 small can of tomato juice (sometimes you have to add more depending on the strength of jalepenos)

The key to the heat is to create a cycle of chips and beer!

Strawberries andPeaches next level? That’s like a sweet -hot combo.  That’s worth a try.
