I try to throw them a little bit when I am out practicing, but its hard to turn to them in a tournament until you build that confidence though success

I’ve experimented with them but still have not thrown them in a tournament yet, still building confidence in them.

I’ve thrown them in the past in practice and out fishing for fun, but I’ve yet to catch a fish on one so I have 0 confidence in swimbaits.

This past summer I actually got rid of the all my swimbaits and the set-up I used to throw them.

You did not get rid of them! Sorry I wasn’t around to pick up your junk.  It’s this mans treasure!  There is a time for them just like a jerk bait and when some throw the jerk I’ll throw the swim bait.  It doesn’t have to be the armegeddon at 250 bucks it could be 6” huddleston for 19.99 or a swimbabe for less.

Swimbaits are surprisingly a versatile lure. I use them here in Indiana from early Spring up until late Fall. The 4” and 5” hollow bodied baits have worked best. SPRO and Tru Tungsten have released the 4” hard body baits. They look like they will load the boat. Cant wait to give them a try this Spring!

ive never caught a bass with one, but this last summer i got a couple of 30 inch plus pike. I was expecting nothing but, when the first one hit, it was almost like i snagged a freight train and it almost ripped the rod out of my hand
