Hope he’s nailing them.

The two best times to be fishing is when its rainin’ and when it ain’t.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.  Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Men and fish are alike.  They both get into trouble when they open their mouths.

Nah dude, just went to try out. Almost fell in, then came home and started workin in the yard. Tons of people there, only 1 boat and thats it. 0 fish. I gotta go get another pond, this one i cant take, the fish are so reluctant here. and after today i can see why. I fished about 6 hours, until other people statred fading, then i left. I guess i gotta get a boat. The one boat was catching out in the middle, only 30-50 ft past my furthest casts. Made me so mad, i have been gettin ‘em only to get up early to be in a “crowd”. I gotta get back on the other ponds. this is bad. i will only go to this pond to test baits, because it is open on the bottom.

Almost forgot, i tried EVERYTHING!! senkos, jigs, spinnerbaits, worms, lipless cranks, deep divers. It was crazy! I cant bring my whole takle box, its way too big for a bike, but i carry most of my crap in a takle bag just a tad smaller. The closest luck i had was a pickup by a branch on a worm, set the hook for a three second battle with a nice fish, (hope, there’s big turtles here too, but it was going real fast) then it just dropped it. Made me so mad, almost left then.

Uhm have you tried a finesse worm on a 1/16oz shaky head? Use a spinning rod with 8lb fluoro.

HA! the places i fish have already been hit by 100 anglers also. I just throw something that nobody else is. I had real good luck with a yum wooly hawgtail until everyone else found out. Now im doing good with swimbaits because nobody is throwing them this time of year. You have to do something different.

most of the people i have to compete with just copy what i do! if i switch to a different bait and they see im catching fish, they will try to switch to the same exact thing.

I had the most success using a 1/8 oz jig head with them. When they pick it up the automaticly swallow it down so hookups isnt even a problem.
