how do you go about fishing when you are out with either family or friends?????

I would say im mostly so focused on what im doing that i Ignore everybody around me but im not doing it on purpose, also im usually very competetive and i try to outfish the people im with, but not to the extent to where im affecting my fishing partner.

when im out fishing, I’ll talk and laugh..but at the same time I’m focused and determined (my vote). if i lose a nice fish, dont talk to me for a while because i’ll get very angry..I guess my mood can shift very fast from laughing to angry, lol. Im also very competitve against the people im fishing with, no matter if they’re family or friends.

I enjoy conversing with my partner. That said, I am still focused on the task at hand. I pay attention to the weather, water conditions, waterfowl, depthfinder, any visible fish activity, and of course that tap I’m feeling on the end of my line.

when I’m in a tournament I’m focused but when I’m out with friends and family I love to talk and take it easy.  I love to share the sport and take new people out and you can’t be to focused or determined becuse that could be pretty intimidating to someone new.

yeah also it really depends who im fishing with. if im with my cousin or my really good friends, we will usually spend half the time making jokes and goofing around just having a great time, if im just with my family i will usually just do my own thing....i like talking to the people I fish with but sometimes i get so far in the zone i tune everything out.... it really depends on what my fishing partner wants. if they dont want to talk im not going to get offende, if they like talking and having a conversation, I will be more than happy to discuss pretty much anything

im glad to be out there in a tourny im focused determined but will still take time to help out some less experianced guys. i showed a guy how to drop shot last year, including tying up the rig for him , told him what to do and watched him catch a 3 lber on his first cast. i felt like a proud father and was happy for him

I usually go fishing alone.  Noone likes to get up that early that I know.

I usually get really mad when I lose a fish or break off my line.  I used to yell a lot and throw down my rod.  I quickly found that wasn’t a good idea since I use revo stx’s (throwing a $200 reel around isn’t wise).

So I now take my dog with me on the boat.  If something bad happens that makes me mad, I take it out on him and not my gear.  Works out pretty good since he is afraid of the water and won’t jump out.  And I can kick him as much as I want and it doesn’t harm my reels.

dude that is just plain stupid and wrong even if you were just joking. Still I find that offensive because I have two dogs of my own that I absolutly love.  I totally agree with BBK. I can hook you up with anger management if you really need it.

The two best times to be fishing is when its rainin’ and when it ain’t.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.  Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Men and fish are alike.  They both get into trouble when they open their mouths.

Hey Tennessee, buy cheaper rods and reels, and take your dog to the Humane Society.
