We have been catching a lot of Smallies lately and not dinks.  A bunch of 4 to 6 lb. class fish.  This is casting for Muskie.  There are a lot of Bass hitting my Classic Buck Tails #8 cupped Colorado blades.  Had one on last Friday that was over seven and what a jump and toss.  Good Fishing All.  Bob

Hey Bob, I’m looking for some tips for Murray Lake in Kent County Michigan.  I thought maybe you have fished it before, being a musky fisherman from Michigan.  I went out there a few weeks ago casting big swimbaits and bucktails and only got a couple to follow the swimbaits but no bites.  Any advice?

One more fish, then I’ll come home.

Sorry Ranger.  I havent checked this site out in months.  Try the #10 magnum blades in Chartruese on thiis lake.  Like Lucy’s Lulu with the 3 toned parrern.  I’m sure it will work.  Either trolling or casting.  It has been so many years since I fished there I really can’t give you certain spots where we had fish up in the past.  Good Fishing Bob Oh P.S.  Keep in contact and let me know how you are doing.

Had a Smallmouth slam a Rapala Super Shad 3 times the last time I was out cadtimg.  The second biggest I ever saw.  I thougt it was a big Muskie until the third hit.  She jumped next to the boat and spit that lure like a Muskie.  Over 24 inches and she looked look like about 14 plus inches in girth. It was at my Island.  I was out with Jim Miller and he said he never saw one that big.  Good fishing everyone.  Bob
