Most built in coolers in boat are not all that great. Need suggestions on keeping drinks cool during the summer. Looking forward to your post.

Freeze an empty milk just or orange juice container full of of water to a solid block. When its time to go fishing, cut the top off and dump the exposed block into the cooler. It will slowly melt but stay cold for days.

I usually carry a cooler with me, I get my ice for free. I would look for the 5 day coolers, They work very well.

I do the same. Freeze some 20oz bottles and use them as ice packs. When they melt I drink them too. For long days I freeze a 2 liter bottle. They fit in my livewell better.

I usually just drink water, and I don’t really care if it’s really cold.  If it’s beer, it’s not usually around long enough to get warm.

I usually throw a bag of ice in one of the back storage areas in the boat, only gets opened to get something to drink out of and the ice doesnt melt much throughout the day.

Does anyone have a favorite cooler to carry on the boat and to store in the truck at the docks that keep cooler than the rest?
