? Do changes in the barometric pressure, cold fronts warm fronts, or moon phases effect fishing in the winter time?
Absolutely, the fish will act the same during the winter as in the summer.
I have my best luck before storms and during storms.
Heres a perfect example; Last year a buddy of mine and I were fishing almost every day. We fished mon, tues, weds, and thurs without catching more then 1 or 2 fish a day. We went friday and it snowed 2-3” wile we were out there. We kept 30 some gills over 7.5” and 5 or 6 crappie over 11”. Then on sat when the snow stopped, we were back to catching 1 or 2 a day. We fished the same area with the same lures and the same bait each day.
We are supposed to have a cold spell tomorrow (high in the teens), hopefully I can find some safe ice to get on!
