QM/Affilius- I didnt want to start anything really, just noticed that certain things go on..and seem to be allowed.  Im not saying it should be or could be stopped, but sometimes it just gets frustrating.

I just think that this year we are going to have too many winners that arent even on the site.  They just came for the chat and the prizes.  Every year we get a group that comes in, flies around for a day or so…gets in the chat, scoops the free stuff and is gone..never to be seen again.

Im not sure on the fantasy thing, I think we had about 13 or 15 last year??? Kinda curious how we added 10 guys to that list..or if some snuck in.  I know there are some newer contributing members that might be in..like KYAngler. Niko..I doubt is in…really cant think of many new guys right now.

Anyway..didnt want to get a big ordeal going, I just dislike guys that do things for free stuff..or join boards for giveaways..or chats…..I guess all the extra perks that come about one time a year.

No worries. In fact, we have been talking of some prize packs or promotions just for dedicated forum members. Part of the job of the promotions is to build some buzz and traffic, more are always welcome and encouraged, as long as they add something to the community.

No worries here either x,  you bring up some great topics and issues.  I think I have correted the fantasy issue for the time being.

I brought up this issue a few times before the chat, suggested a min post count to be able to enter or access the chat.  Felt like I was blown off, and a few said it should be open to anyone.

Looking back on it now I agree as its great marketing for the site and forum, that being said i’m with xranger on this one.  Really sad when “regulars” and contributing members have little or no shot at big ticket items like the polarized oakleys.

In my opinion those oakleys should have gone to someone of the caliber of BBK, twitch, miller time, or others that really do contribute to the forums.  But, thats just my opinion.

I missed the live chat this year because of work..but that is ok.

I did see that BassZone had the live chat thing put up on their board for several days before the chat started…Im sure that had something to do with the traffic that night and the days leading up to it.  I didnt see anything last year on it or the year before.

Yeah Bassfan also posted a notice and it was anounced on the ultimatebass podcast the week before.

I missed the chat because of work too, kinda mad about it.  But a regular forum member did win the Oakleys… remember?

I just found out today that I won the KVD Fishticks Lure Attractant!  Just one more thing to add to the tacklebox!  I’m excited about it!  I was shooting for those Oakley’s though…lol!  Thanks KVD.com for the opportunity!  I look forward to more promotions in the future!
