I was wondering how many of us were going to the BPS SFC ? I live very close to BPS so I’ll probably go a couple of times. The big thing I’m going to pick up is a new Abu Gracia Revo STX. I’m going to take advantage to the reel trade in, so I will not pay full price. I’m also going to pick up SK Pro model crank baits and a BPS Kermy frog, because they are on sale for a great price. What items are you looking to pick up?

Im looking at several diffrent things find out for sure when I get there. But looking at a Pro Qualifier or a inflatable vest as my “big” purchase. Also need a wrap for my spinnerbaits and something for my buzzbaits.

I might make it there this weekend & I’ll be for sure getting some black/blue laminate dingers & look over the other soft plastics. I might get a couple of kermits & mad max frogs(even though I have probably 15-20 brand new Spro, River2Sea, & Boze frogs already) if I don’t find much other than the dingers, which is unlikely. I’m gonna be looking at Stradic & Soron STX spinning reels to see which one I’m gonna get off eBay when I have the cash, while also checking out the new STX & SX Revos. Oh, and I’m gonna pick up some copoly line too, deciding between Yo Zuri & P-line CX in 6 or 8lb test to put on my drop shot reel when I get it. Add Musky bucktails to the list of possibles as well. And Lindy Fuzzy Grubs. And some Gama EWGs. I think I found & typed down everything I need to put on my list.  tongue laugh

You got a lot on your plate! Haha, have you considered braid for a drop shot with a flourocarbon leader? You feel every grain of dirt on the bottom. I just started doing that last year its awesome

That’s not a bad idea, as I’ve got some 20lb Cajun braid already & could easily pick up a leader spool of 8lb fluoro. I think I’m still gonna give Yo Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft a shot though, sounds like it’s an excellent line for spinning gear.

I just got back from BPS, and picked up a Revo STX.  I had a couple gift cards from Christmas , and I also did the real trade in, so I only paid $85 out of pocket for a $200 bait caster.

I went yesterday and was kinda disappointed.  The place looked like it had been violated.  They were out of everything I was looking for.  It was shoulder to shoulder in that place.  I go to the SFC every year, but I think next year I will go the week before it begins.  Maybe that way they will have what I am looking for and I don’t have to step over people to get it.  It was still a great day though, never a bad day when you go to Bass Pro.  It sure gets you pumped up when you see those big bass swimming around and all that nice new gear sitting out.  Can’t wait to get on the water.
