I have a tourney on Saturday and I was told we will be fishing with little johns I don’t have any but will purchase some tomorrow. Can someone please give me some how-to videos\articles and your 2 cents on using this bait. I know I will be able to fish it but I am hoping I can get some advice before I go out. Every bit helps so don’t hold anything back.

Yeah…cast it out…bang it into rocks or wood…catch fish.  That simple.  You might need a few different colors though.  And…there is a possibility that lure will not work at all.

Ok..so you kind of answered your own question there.  Not sure what you needed for info.

I would stick to dark colors as you have already bought, and maybe something in a shad type color also.  Those two should be all you need…if that is what they are wanting.  I mean that by..if they are wanting a faster moving bait.

What do you mean I answered my own question? I was asking for how-to videos\articles and your 2 cents on using this bait.
Just trying to learn as much about it as I can.

you already got the craw colors, my two favorite colors are smoky shad and chartreuse rootbeer, i like to fish them around grass, just so that it’s ticking the tops of the grass, as for the setup, i fish them on a 6.3:1 revo sx, and a skeet reese crankbait rod, lined with 30lb. powerpro… the little john is a really great bait once you learn how to use them so learn them good!!!!!!!

Dude all I was asking was if anyone had any articles/videos they knew about. And if they did to post them. It was really simple. I also said that I knew I would be able to fish it well and knew what colors to get. Yea I searched Google and looked in other places after I posted this and after the tourney. The reason I posted this was because I DIDN’T HAVE TIME before the tourney to search for this bait. All I was trying to do was educate myself as well as possible about this bait. That is what I do for every lure I ever fished with.
Was that ok I mean that was what I thought a forum was for right???? Thanks for your help.
