The old stand bys for me. Zara spook, rebel pop-r, devils horse prop bait. Although i picked up a kelly jordan lucky craft prop bait this year, bluegill color. I’ve heard that bluegill propbaits are killer around bedding bluegill, so i cant wait to try it out.

Hardbait - Sammys, Spooks, skitter pop and skitter prop are nice, although mine broke after a fish hit it (dont ask how or why, it’s beyond me)
Soft Bait - Zoom Horney Toad, Zoom Horney Toad, Zoom Horney Toad…..hmmm I like the rage frogs and stanley frogs as well….The spro frog JR is realy nice too. The larger one isn’t that great for a good hookset IMO, the junior has no isse…also the spro popping frog.
Buzzbaits When I can throw them, usually a majority of the time i’m running a horney toad across weeds, so I can’t use the buzzbait…but if I’m fishing along a weedline, I’ll most definately use a buzzbait…..Top water is by far one of my favorite styles besides finesse/shakey heads.

Buzzbaits, Rage Toads, and skitter-walks.  I’m gonna try the Yum Money Hounds as soon as I get a chance.  They look like they will be ‘Money’ on top of grass and thick weed beds.

One more fish, then I’ll come home.

I picked a package of those up at cabela’s, I was also curious to see how they would do on top the grass….could be a good alternative to a frog.

Excalibur’s Spittin’ Image and Chug Bug are my favorites.

I’ve also used the Skitter Pops and Skitter Walks with good results.

While it’s not a top water you should also check out the Glidin’ Rap (by Rapala) - you can walk the dog under the water - KILLER.
