Official 2010 KVD Forum Members Team Bass Tournament Rules
1. Tournament is from April 5-October 31 and open to any KVD member that has registered by midnight March 31.
2. Only species allowed are Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Spotted Bass. 14” min length, 15 fish per team per week.
3. Only artificial lures are acceptable means of catching fish. No live Bait or cut bait can be used with the exception of Pork Rind.
4. Teams will consist of 4 members each. Each team should select a team captain, team name and team page. The team captain is the member of the team that is responsible to make sure his teams weekly limit is posted.*
5. Team weeks begin on every Monday and end on every Sunday. **
DEADLINES: Any fish posted after 11:59pm EST on Sundy nights will count towards the next weeks totals.
You must have your team totals posted ON THIS THREAD by 11:59pm every Monday after week 1.
Potenial Loop Hole Avoidance: The date in the picture of the fish, will correspond with the week that fish counts toward. Not the date of the posting of that fish. Meaning if you caught one Sunday the 11th and posted it Monday the 12th, that fish is void and will not count for either week. If the date stamp, or card showing the day the fish was caught says the 11th. Again we are using a honor system so we are trusting everyone to be honest and fair.
6. The 15 fish your team submits for final weekly weigh in must be announced by the following Monday 11:59pm EST deadline.*** The Committee will not go through your team pages and announce what 15 fish to be calculated. We will have enough going on calculating and updating the weekly standings.
7. You must post a picture of your catch on your team page with the date the fish was caught. This can be done with by using your date stamp on your camera or a written date on a piece of paper. No date in the pictures, IT WILL NOT COUNT. Notice the sample pictures at the bottom of this post. The date, girth and length are all recorded. You wont need the date and girth if the fish is on a scale, or beleived to be under 3lbs. Regardless the date is a MUST.
Fish over 3lb must be placed on a scale to prove the fish’s weight. If you do not own a scale. Then take a picture proving the length and girth of the fish and we will use a weight calculator to determine its weight. However, we must be able to see the length and girth clearly measured in the picture. Meaning if it’s a 16” fish with a 12” girth in the picture we need to clearly see the tape reading 16 and 12.
If the scale reading cannot be read clearly, or if the measurements cannot be read clearly, then the fish could be reduced to a 2pt fish regardless of how big it appears. Only the committee will decide if the readings are taken clearly enough.
8. The Point System.
2pt = 14 inches to 2lb 15oz
3pt = 3lb to 3lb 15oz
4pt = 4lb to 4lb 15oz
5pt = 5lb to 5lb 15oz
6pt = 6lb to 6lb 15oz
7pt = 7lb to 7lb 15oz
8pt = 8lb to 8lb 15oz
9pt = 9lb to 9lb 15oz
10lb + 1pt per lb.
9. Bonus Points-
1. Highest point total of the week will receive 3 bonus points.
2. The team that records the biggest fish of the week will receive 3 bonus points.
3. The Team with the biggest weekly weight of the year will receive 5 bonus points.
4. The team who’s member catches the biggest fish of the year will receive 5 bonus points.
In the case of a tie, all teams tied will receive the same amount of bonus points.
10. Teams with the most points accumulated by Oct 31 @ midnight will be
declared the winners.
11. Any discrepancies or concerns should be directed via PM to one of the committee members(Miller Time, Twitch, The Outdoorsman).
12. Anyone caught cheating will be DQ’d from their team and their totals will be taken away from their team total.
Notes:
*Team Captains probably should be your teams most active forum member. In theory it should help prevent 1 team from posting their weeks weigh in more than once. If this happens the first post by that team will be the one used.
** At the end of a week all previous fish caught will be reset. Meaning you cannot use a week 1 fish in your week 2 weigh in.
***Basically you have a 24 hour window after the last day of the week to turn in your team results.
Also, each team is only allowed 15 OFFICAL fish for weigh in. But please keep in mind you can post as many fish as you would like on your team page. When the week is over preferably the Team Captain will then simply post on the Official Thread that his team has elected to keep fish 1-5, 8, 9-13 and 15-18 or something along those lines. The big fish of each week will then be posted on the Official Thread.
The Tournament Committee will help assist in any fashion needed. From answering questions to counting fish to being a team captain if selected.
Prizes could be awarded if we can get enough donations from members, be a resident lure maker or someone who just wants to donate to the cause.
