I was wondering what lures you guys have used with success but have not used in awhile. for me its a spinnerbait. I used to throw them alot, now I use a bladed swim jig aka chatterbait, in the same areas I used to throw a spinnerbait, and have had better success. Also I use a tube now where I used to throw a 6in straight tail worm, skipping docks and things like that.

Well ,it doesnt look like I responded to this last time. So, the lure I have sat aside the past couple years would have to be shallow cranks. I use a lot of 10+ divers, but rarely use a shollow runner.

I didnt reply to it either so, the bait or rig for me would have to be the Carolina Rig, i know how to throw it i just dont as much as i need to.

It was a while ago, good to bump old topics sometimes.

My forgotten lure would be a ribbon or curl tail worm.

My forgotten lure would be a ribbon or curl tail worm.

Same here. I fished them quite a bit early last year, but it seemed like all I got was taps from gills or shorts, so I drifted away from them. If I think about throwing a worm, I usually reach for a dinger/senko these days.

When I first started fishing I used Touchdown Lures pre-rigged worms. Always did really well on them. Just have gotten away from them recently, but I think I might have to dig one out a give it a try for old times sake! grin
