I let my brother barrow my small 12ft boat, and trailer over the weekend. He and his wife, sister in law, and her boy friend went up to a small cottage on the west part of the state. He put the boat in at a public launch, and went fishing. When he came back he found the license plate mounting bracket busted off, and laying on the ground, and the plate missing. We think some one stole it because my plate was a permanent plate,  It would have been good for as long I had my trailer. Now I have to go and get a new plate, because of some SOB took mine.

Hope you catch your biggest bass ever on your next fishing trip.

I keep my plates in my truck for this reason. If I get pulled over I have it on me. So far no traffic stops though, been a couple years.

lakes or areas with a lot of cabins and few year long residents are easy targets for dirt bags and they tell their dirt bag friends…cottage industry in Michigan means stealing from cottage owners.
