Kevin Van Dam Forums

I know Kevin just won angler of the year the other week, and the BMC earlier in the year, but it seems like kevin hasnt been on as much as the other years. I just joined this year after the Live Chat and dont know how often he dropped by the site the other years during and after the season but it kinda seemed like a long time this year. According to the stats on his profile, his last post was in february when he did the live chat. Its super cool that he does that and spends time to answer our questions and im looking forward to the live one this year. I know he has tons of obligations to his sponsers and of course family comes first, but u’d think he’d visit his website once in a while during the season or after the postseason. Anyone else thinking the same thing? Hope i dont anger anyone with this post, im just thinking outloud

I was able to talk to Kevin this year before the Guntersville tournament. We talked about the site and forum and he said this year was the first time in a while where he wasnt taking his laptop on tour with him. Im sure in the off-season he is just as busy as when he is on tour, maybe more. It would be awesome if he just popped in chat one night and said “hey”, but odds are when he’s not fishing or filling sponsorship agreements, he is with his family.

Yeah can’t imagine how many obligations he must have with all his sponsers during the off season since he’s so busy during the season and what little free time he does have I completly understand that he spends it with his family. I’m just thankful that he provides us with this forum that’s a place we can share and learn from eachother. It’s helped me a out a ton with my fishing.

Thanks twitch, for the information. like i said, i just joined this year, so i didnt know if this was normal (how long since his last visit) and i understand why he isnt on all that much. I met and spoke with him and he is a really nice guy who went out of his way for alot of people at the seminar i went to. Its understandable that he has other , more important stuff to do and like Broll27 said,im glad that kevin and the staff provide this forum for us. I have learned alot since i joined and enjoyed it
