hmmm question Hi,

I’m 12 and live near a lake (Lake Tarpon you probably haven’t heard of it). Obviously i can’t afford to buy a boat so I normally fish off of a dock but there is so much vegetation that almost every lure i have tried gets caught in the weeds. What type of lure would you recommend?

PS Your awesome and not bad in the classic. Me and my friends have been reading about Lay Lake for months in “Bassmaster Magazine” !!! Can’t wait until you make 3 classic wins. Keep realin’ in those Angler Of The Year ‘s to!!! Oh and I was gonna add a picture of the lake and dock I fish off of but the picture size was to big.
O well… Good luck and happy bassin’.

Hey both of you are on the right track.  I love to use texas rigged worms, senkos and grubs in heavy weeds just remember to use as light a wieght as you can get away with.

Any worm will do in this scenerio.  Pick a few different colors and see how they react.  Great place to practice as well.  Try it with or without weights, different retrievals, etc…  pratice makes perfect as they say.
