Does anyone use an AirBrush for doing there lures, jigs, ETC ??

I am thinking to paint Jigs that where already powdered and eyes painted on..

What air unit should I think of getting, and should a compressor be involved instead of propellant ??

Is there any tricks of the trade ??

You wont be doing much with those sets from harbor freight. They are not the correct ones for bait painting. Check over on tackleunderground.com in the hardbaits section, you will find the answer to any of your questions there. A good airbrush for bait making is going to run you about $150, not including the compressor. You want a compressor, dont mess with the bottled air crap.

What is a good unit ??

The way I discovered is a TON depends on what the gun can carry for needles, what the unit comes with or is accessory, and if it is a single or double action..

It does not seem to matter what site I ask any questions at..

Communication is not good or is not at all..

Not sure what you mean by “air unit” as I have never heard that term mentioned in bait painting (probably why nobody can answer your question)

If you are talking compressor, any compressor will work as long as it has a moisture filter and a good regulator. I’ve seen guys use 30 gal compressors for painting, the bigger the compressor the less it will turn on.

You can get the same effect by shooting the spray paint through your underpants.

Iwata is the best brand of airbrush in my opinion.  You will want a brush with a .3mm tip/needle or smaller for fine detail work.  Get ready because the smaller the tip the bigger the price tag.  Any compressor will do the trick.  Painting a small jig head or spinner bait head is about the hardest thing I’ve ever tried to do.  I’ll stick with painting my crank baits.  As for paint any airbrush ready paint will work but some brands will need thinning.
