List your Top 3 finishers. Commentary encouraged.

Here we go…

Kevin VanDam - I read somewhere that he was an above average bass fisherman. I am also legally/morally/politically obligated to pick him to win every event.
Aaron Martens - This dude deserves a big ‘W’. Consitently better than most. Needs a home run.
Steve Kennedy - For some reason…I can picture him with his Auburn hat hanging on to the very end this year.

Dark Horse: Greg Hackney. The Hack Attack. He always looks a little crazy when I look at my StrikeKing 3X bags that he graces. Almost like he is looking at me in a wierd “I am a better fisherman than you…and you know it” kind of way.

I feel that this Classic is going to be a battle of the big names on tour. These aren’t in any specific order but I think that these 3 are going to be the ones battling it out.

Ike
KVD
Skeet

Dark Horse- Hackney

KVD - he won his first classic on the delta plus he has momentum.
Kline - great jig fisherman plus he is always consistent on the delta may have won when Ike caught the last minute bass to pull out his classic victory plus he was in the running when he had the shooting incident.
Hackney - its his backyard and he is due a big win.  Plus he is a great jig fisherman.

Dark horse - Cliff Pace

LilJakeC….

Having Ike, KVD, and Skeet in the finals would be like Boston playing LA for the NBA championship.
It would the highest rated Classic Ever. Add in Gerald Swindle for a little drama and you have a party.

In thirty years that will be like Linder, Jimmy Houston, and Roland Martin…

BTW…Linder would win in a land slide.

1.)  Hackney
2.) Crews
3.) Iaconelli

I predict a late spawn due to colder temps than normal.  The bass will be bedding and the flippers and pitchers will be in full force.  That’s my swag.

KVD-He’s due to win something….
Klein-Just a gut feeling….and its not from eating bad food either
Martens-Plain and simple, you eventually have to break thru after all those near misses.

Dark Horse-Kriet…I just think his 2010 run will carry over into this year and be a force for AOY as well.

I seen where they listed the Elite field today. So here are my picks.

1st - KVD - Of course I want KVD to win again and I feel he has the best chance. He handles pressure better then any other fishermen out there. Some thing about attitude….
2nd - Russ Lane - I think he got a good taste of victory last year and came close to winning it all. He is going to be even hungrier this year.
3rd - Edwin Evers - The same thing goes for him. I think these younger guys are getting a really good feel for the profession and with the electronics and equipment they have access to, the field is going to be closer then ever.

Dark Horse - I will have to go out on a limb and go with Rick Clunn. He is coming back for a reason. If he didn’t believe he could do it, he wouldn’t be trying. I think he has something up his sleeve.

I saw that too. Noticed a few FLW names on there. Looks like the Elite field is back over 100 competitors again.

KVD- he knows the waters and seems to really get up for the big ones
crews- he’s fishing good and also knows the water
Hackney/Aaron Martens tie- both want it bad, not that the others don’t
Dark horse- Ike- won here before and might be on a natural high and dedicates it to his new child.  BH

Reese- He always coming in 2nd and this is his year
Hackey-Pitching and Flipping master
KVD- He is always toward the top

Dark Horse- Dean Rojas, He is exciting to watch. If the can find a good frog bite this year he could be contending for AOY
