Usually in my experience with algae bloom the area where it is found can have a low concentration of oxygen and usually dont hold enough good quality size bass, so If I were you I would try to find either a algae free point or fish the algae that has an opening and current flowing in. Everyone is right fall is when bass usually will begin feeding heavily on anything so I say match the hatch with your lure choice and find area with good current flow and low concentrations of algae bloom and also a good boat number cause if your in a tourney Im sure someone else will be doing the same.

whatever i throw it is bigger in the fall, weeds will still be up going into november unless we get some freaky extended cold weather, i throw 7” flukes, bigger frogs, 1/2 oz or bigger spinner baits, and 1/2 oz chatterbaits, spinners and chatters all with trailers and trailer hooks to give me a bigger profile

Wind out of the north, fishermen should not venture forth
Winds out of the south, blows the bait in the fishes mouth
Winds out of the east, fish bite the least
Winds out of the west, fish bite the best
