Wait for DDaniel to get back state-side from his job. He lives very close to Jordan and fishes it often.

Hard to tell, he works on an off-shore drilling rig. I think he is gone a few weeks at a time.

Hey guys, been off for a few days. We towed the rig from the Gulf of Venezuela (up by Columbia) down to Trinidad. We were without communications for a little over a week.

Spook, it really depends on the type of fishing that you like to do. I’ve been gone for 4 weeks now and I won’t get home ‘till June 9th, so I’m not really sure what’s going on right now. There is a BPS right there in Prattville. Those guys can usually tell what the fish are doing and that will give you a good idea where to start.

If you like to fish shallow or boat docks, there are a lot of coves all over the lake. If you like to fish deeper, there are some really big points off of Weoka Creek.

If the current is flowing, there are two places you need to look at. There is a channel between Lake Jordan and Lake Bouldin. Fish the points going into that channel. Then go thru to Lake Bouldin and look for the old rock dam that was used to hold back the water while they were building the dam. It has a nice point, plus it creates a major funnel when water is flowing thur it.

I strongly suggest you get a lake map. It will show you some of the places I’m talking about.

Fishing was tough Saturday with the water being 88 degrees at 5:15 am. We had 8 lbs and it took 15 lbs to win. The sad part was all of the dead fish that were weighed in but out club keep our dead fish but some of the other tournaments did not. Can somebody give me some tips to pass along to help try to keep them alive. One guy spend about $100 on ice and still had a couple to die.

Run the pumps on recirc if you add ice. Dont add to much ice, it can kill the fish if the temp difference is to much. Keep it within 5-10 degrees. I like to freeze some bottles of water with rejuvenade mixed with the water so whe the ice melts, it releases the additive into the water. Sometimes it doesnt matter what you do, they die.

Thanks for the tips my partner and I didn’t have any dead ones but e kept dumping and adding fresh water about every 30 mins or so.  Do you poke holes in the top of the bottle so when it melts it will leak out.
