I would almost bet that If you used light flouro line on a spinning outfit, instead of a senko, throw a trick worm or a zoom finesse worm weightless in a watermelon color you could still get bit.

little tough to get any distance from the bank, i was there saturday and i didn’t see 1 fish cruising and you can see a long way out in the water from the bank. i was throwing a YUM Money hound and almost could spool my baitcaster. Even if i had a boat, boats are restricted on this 3 acre little pond. i’ve just lost interest in this pond for now. Only thing i’m catching any bass on are Zoom Horny toads in watermelon/red at 1 other 12 acre forest preserve pond. If i didn’t have the Zooms, i would be 0 for july. I’ve never owned or thrown a senko, i’ve got other stick worms though, have some sluggo’s

Wind out of the north, fishermen should not venture forth
Winds out of the south, blows the bait in the fishes mouth
Winds out of the east, fish bite the least
Winds out of the west, fish bite the best

Well, it’s fall and i am going to try this little gin clear water pond again. Last time i was there the weeds on the bank were 6’ tall and the bugs just ate me up. the weeds will still be up, they only cut the banks once a year and that is late, late fall. I did catch 2 nice 2 lbers on white frogs but it was rainy and a little wind, no sun.  today, sunny, no clouds, no wind, i am trying a spinnerbait, chatterbait, Cordel hot spot and a jitterbug, all fished as fast as i can. if no bites i will slow it down a little. if i get nothing, friday i am going to go back and try a dropshot and a pumpkinseed tube. i’m going to find a way to catch bass here if it kills me or i get snake bit, or i see sasquatch, whichever comes first.

Will have some Jack Links with me!
