Did anything ever get resolved with the prizes for FF?

My biggest worry is that my wife (when I’m dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.

Nope, its a lost cause I believe. I wish it wasnt but too much time has passd and there really hasnt been much involvement from the website staff at all this year.
Quantum Man and myself have tried to contact the website guys multiple times about this.

I wonder what Kevin would have to day about this?  Does he even know?  It’s his website, his forum, his image.  The fact that it appears to be a lost cause isn’t a good thing for his image, especially in front of all of his fans on the site.

Prizes were never a sure thing anyway.  It was nice of the store to donate prizes in the past and some really good prizes too.  Fantasy fishing on the forums was set for just fun anyway and the addition of prizes was a bonus.  I can run FF again next season but on the pretense that 0 prizes will be given out,  only for bragging rights on the forums.

If we wanted to, we could get some of the forum members to send in some misc. gear for prizes….

Wind out of the north, fishermen should not venture forth
Winds out of the south, blows the bait in the fishes mouth
Winds out of the east, fish bite the least
Winds out of the west, fish bite the best

Ok.  I am still even more confused and have lots of questions but I don’t want to beat a dead horse and wear out my welcome.

I didn’t even play on the KVD group to even have to worry about winning any prizes.  I was just trying to understand what happened.

TK, here is the link to the post earlier this year about FF.
https://www.kevinvandam.com/forums/viewthread/6165/
Brownshelf was the guy in charge of prizes and he was fairly involved with the site. Since that post Brownshelf has left the site (mostly) to persue other interests. Which stinks because he was an active member and did a great job of handling this place.
If you’re looking for the best options to cash in on fantasy fishing, then I suggest you stick with the major companies (tacklewarehouse, Quantum, SK, ect…).
It looks like the top prizes around here will be bragging rights from now on. Hope you stay active and this doesnt shun you away, but I just dont see the caliber of prizes we had last year being offered again.
