2011 FLW Jr. world championship on DeGray Lake, Arkansas

hey guys,
im wondering if any of you are from Arkansas or have fishing experence on DeGray Lake? im from washington state and i have qualified for the 2011 FLW Jr. world championship this year and DeGray is ware it will be held at. i will be able to pre fish it prior to the off limits so any advise would be appreciated. the tournament dates are august 11th and 12th.

Good luck, I would have won in Missouri but not going to one tournament out of five cost me.

Congrats man, I think flw had a tournament out there not too long ago, try their website they have all ther old tv shows online you can watch. It could give you an idea anyway.

Thanks stick um! I’m pretty sure the tournament your talking about was the all American last year. It was May 27th and 28th I think. I’ve already checked it out, watched it two times already smile

Nik, are you guys responsible for finding your own water or are you allowed to take recomendations from your boater? Just curious..

hey congrats man! i fish the jr. bassmasters on the BASS side but my club is looking into signing up for FLW too, idk anything about that lake but goodluck! smile

thanks! The FLW Jr tournaments are just like the BASS one. Except you dont have to win the regional to go to the championship like you do with BASS. There still a lot of fun to fish though.

Unfortunately I know nothing of the lake in question - SORRY.

Have you sought out topographical maps/graphs? Research bait shops near the lake - give them a call.

As of now the main lake points are producing. Also the long tapering points off of the many Islands has been consistent. Depending on when your tourny is Arlie Moore area is a nice area with many points and standing timber and stumps in the coves, also Hydrilla. Let me know when your Tourny is and I can give you more info.
