Yeah I heard about this on outdoor channel facebook page. I sur looks different to me say something about no fish limit they can bring as many Bass as they want to weigh in. How can they do with most places having a 5 fish limit that you can keep. Here is a website.

This sounds pretty interesting.  I like the thought of us, the viewers, being able to watch them strategically break down the water and use their knowledge as professionals to come up with something that’s going to have to work right on the spot.  I can’t wait to see it to see how it turns out.

to do justice they would have to make every show 2 hours long, which is fine by me

Same here, only a small portion of the states gets the outdoor channel.. I get versus also, and they show a fishing show about once a month, usually late sat morning when everybody is out fishing or doing other stuff.. and since they sold out to NBC, you cant watch fishing shows online anymore… I MISS CITY LIMITS FISHING!

Maybe they will put the shows on the net so we can watch them online?

Yeah, Versus kind of blows. For the longest time, I thought I lost the Outdoor Channel, but they actually just switched channels. I have Comcast, and it used to be channel 68 on there; now, it’s like channel 730 or something.

okay, so the ultimate goal of the MLF thingy is to increase viewers and try and get more non fishing related sponsors involved it sounds like. But to me making the 24 guys on this show ” tv superstars” would make them seem isolated from all the other fisherman, kind of like pros in other sports are, and i think thats one of the things that makes bass fishing special is that it doesnt do that. As far as format goes I really like how they only tell the guys where they will be fishing like 2 days in advance but that would make it harder for people to attend weigh ins, which could be a negative. I really think they should get more guys from the FLW involved too. That would make it really interesting to see how good the guys on one tournament trail are compared to the other one… Dont get me wrong i’m sure it will make for a great tv show, and make bass fishing more appealing for non industry sponsors. Maybe i dont like change or something, but i kinda like it the way it is. Just my opinion

10 percent of the fisherman catch 90 percent of the fish
  and
90 percent of the fish are in 10 percent of the lake

why can’t they throw in a few guys like the fisherman we have on this site to spice it up a little. be great if your average joe beat these guys once in a while, i think that would sky rocket the ratings and increase interest in the sport of fishing in general.
