Went to Dicks, couldnt make up my mind so i said screw it till next year as hunting season starts monday with bear season. So i bought some hunting stuff and a few KVD series cranks and went to the river to enjoy the day. Not to many fishing days left so the new rod will wait till spring.

I have an older Prolite (great reel).  I found that it’s really good at throwing lighter baits.  I also have a bunch of Mojos.  They are a little tip heavy.  I use Presidents and Citica D’s and that balances them I think.  My Prolight is on the Skeet S-glass rod where I throw Bomber 4A’s.  If I had the money I’d look into a Dobyns.

yah well today i went fishing with the veritas. Nice performance right up to the point where the lock nut for the reel started to seperate from the pole. Didnt care much for the way the dome style nut came down onto the reel seat. Took it back and got a skeet reese pole instead. The SR was on sale for almost half the cost of the veritas so i kicked in a little more and got 2. Both are 7’2 MH fast action.
Gonna take them out in the morning and see how they perform.
