Finally pulled the boat out to go fishing and got a picture of where KVD signed the boat for me while he was in Prattville at the BPS here.

I talked to some of the body shops around here and they said that they would have to “prep” it to shoot some clear coat over it.  That included having to sand the surface.  I didn’t like that idea at all.  Plus, they couldn’t guarantee how long it would last.

I talked to a guy how does vinyl lettering and he had a clear product that he said would work for it so I went with that idea instead.  Looks pretty good so far.

If you’re interested, I have put a lot of pictures of the boat on photobucket.  Man, I love this boat.  Oh yeah, I love my wife too for letting me get it!

Just noticed the dadgum space in the name.  I renamed it without the space so the link would work.

Thanks guys.  I sure do hope it lasts a long time.

But you know, this really goes to show how cool KVD is.  He didn’t make the cut and missed out on the championship week here.  But he didn’t go home.  He stuck around to do a fishing deal with war heroes and came to the BPS here a couple of times.  While he was there, he signed my boat for me.  I wish I could have seen him again, but I was at work.  My wife took care of getting my boat to BPS so he could sign it for me. That really says a lot about KVD’s attitude and his personality.  He is so freaking cool!

Thats awesome DD!!!  Hope you can get something on there to protect it and last for a very long time.  It is cool KVD does things like that, says alot about his character.  You dont see golfers hanging around after missing the cut in a tournament.
