Heather and I went Saturday for about 5 hrs before the storms moved in and we caught a ton of fish.  Unfortunately the camera died and we only got the first fish we each caught.

I ended up with probably 15 – 20 bass – all between 14 – 16 inches; all caught a Yum 7½ inch RedShad plastic worm.

Heather caught over 30 fish – mostly bluegill.  However she did get a warmouth that was one of the biggest I’ve ever seen and she also caught her first smallmouth.  The smallie was only about 10 inches long, but it’s another pin in her hat; she has a pin in her hat for every species of fish she has caught – that includes catfish, LM bass, bluegill, crappie, striper, and walleye.

Wow, sounds like a lot of fun.  I love those days when you can catch a lot of fish, even if they are small ones.

Sounds like a great fishing trip. Great weather too, looks like a good topwater day.

I started with a buzzbait and had one blow-up, no hook-up.  Switched to a shallow crank and had dink hit it on the 2nd cast; brought it almost all the way to the boat then I performed a distance release.  grin
